Most people, after a certain age, suffer from upper thigh pain. Continuous unbearable pain for a while, swelling, redness or feeling heat toward a particular vein, feeling pain during walking, etc., are the common symptoms in this scenario. Finding the main reason for pain in the upper thigh is quite difficult as that particular section of our body has several muscles, sinew, and ligaments.
Bernhardt-Roth syndrome or Meralgia paresthetica is a common cause of thigh pain. Generally, it happens on any one side of your body. A tight dress, heavyweight, pregnancy, nerve fatality, or diabetes may cause this syndrome.
It is not that blood clotting is always wrong, but it can lead to significant complications, some of which are fatal. Thrombosis in the deep vein is one of them. If blood clotting frequently occurs in your lower legs, it can also reach the upper thigh, which may cause thrombosis in the deep vein resulting in pain in the upper thigh region. You can never get any symptoms sometimes, but it may have some symptoms like swelling, pain, redness, and decolorization.
Thrombosis in the deep vein may lead to a fatal case by breathing problems, unrecognized chest pain, heavy pulse rate, blood coughing, etc. Several risks can cause thrombosis in the deep vein are as follows.
1. A major injury that damages the vein.
2. Heavy weights also can create pressure in the vein.
3. The use of urinary catheters can damage the vein.
4. There is a history of DVT (Thrombosis in a deep vein) in your family.
5. Frequently using a birth control pill may cause an increase in your blood pressure which indirectly damages your vein.
6. Chain-smoking directly damages your lungs which may lead to blood clotting in the vein.
7. Working on a computer for a long time while having one risk factor (at least).
8. It may also be a factor if you had surgery for any reason.
Sometimes, neurological disorders can happen due to high blood sugar. It can create pressure in your vein, which causes blood clotting in the vein resulting in upper thigh pain. Pain for the neurological disorder can come first in the hand or feet, and it may scatter in your upper thigh or other parts of the body later on.
1. Trouble touching something. Feeling discomfort and loss of control while holding something.
2. Touching sense may be gone.
3. Difficulties arise while walking. There may be some problems with the coordination of left and right feet.
4. Feeling pain in the edges of feet, fingers, etc.
5. Fatigues in the muscle. If you do not exercise regularly, then it can also cause tired muscles.
6. Indigestion and vomiting tendency can also be a symptom in this context.
7. As indigestion is one of the symptoms, constipation or diarrhea can also be a symptom over here.
8. Unsteadiness while standing or feeling instability while standing after sitting a long time.
9. Perspiring excessively is also a symptom.
10. Sometimes dryness in the vagina for a woman and dysfunction while erection for a man can also be a symptom of neurological disorder.
There is no such particular cure for this, except changing your lifestyle can significantly improve this type of neurological disorder. By means changing lifestyle means regular exercise, maintaining a healthy diet, etc.
This syndrome may bring pain to the upper portion thighs. Generally, major wounds, high blood pressure, and excessive movements are the causes of this syndrome, especially noticeable in runners and women.
1. Feeling more discomfort while lying on the affected side.
2. Pain gets increased day by day.
3. Feeling excessive pain while walking or running. More specifically, if someone carries moderate to heavyweight, this pain will increase significantly.
4. Fatigue in the hip muscle.
This is a common knee injury that causes pain and tenderness when the lateral part of the knee, upper joint line, and lower lateral femoral epicondyle are palpated. It is considered a non-traumatic overuse injury. This is likely to be caused by compression of the innervated local adipose tissue. This is also especially noticeable in runners. More specifically, when the iliotibial band moves down the outside the thigh from the hip toward the skin, then it occurs. Swelling and pain in the knee and sometimes in the upper thigh are the primary two symptoms here.
Wrench and strain of muscles can also significantly impact upper thigh pain, including many muscles like ligaments, tendons, etc. Ligaments act as a bridge connecting bone to bone, so if there is an impact on ligaments, it can bring colossal pain reflecting on the upper thigh. Strain also causes stretching in the muscles, followed by muscle injury to pain in the upper thigh.

3. Difficulties while stretching the legs.
4. The painful area becomes reddish and swollen.
When the workout is excessive or does not warm up accurately before exercise, this type of muscle injury can occur. This pain can get bigger concerning time, and permanent damages to some essential organs can follow this. The main symptom is feeling pain in the thigh after exercise. A sportsperson mainly notices this after their workout in a particular session.
Suppose anyone does not care about their lifestyle and maintains an unusual diet, such as eating a lot of fried food, eating at irregular times (for example, breakfast at 11 a.m. -12:01 p.m., lunch at 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., and dinner after 12:01 a.m.), and not exercising. In that case, they may experience not only discomfort or pain in various body parts but can also lead to any damages to any of their organs. In such cases, no doctors can help recover from their painful life, and in most cases, this can lead to severe health issues without any doubts.
Sometimes, you can get an injury in parts of your body (it can be in your hand or legs or fingers or head, etc.), affecting other parts of your body, including the thigh. In some cases, it is noticed that the main organs get cured, but there will be chronic pain in the upper and lower thigh.
The overuse of the hip muscles can bring pain to your upper thigh.

Mountain lovers are a bit different from normal people. They do not worry about their health as well as age while hiking in the mountains. But in most cases, it can be noticed that this type of hiking style may damage some specific organs (like chest, lungs, heart, lower and upper thigh, legs, etc.) permanently. It is recommended to follow instructions before taking any such steps, specifically trekking or climbing a mountain.
It is observed that some people do some duties to carry a heavyweight from one place to another. In such cases, the pain would be permanent, leading to severe damage in some of their body parts, including the thigh. It is recommended not to carry loads of such heavyweights constantly and get some rest after duty hours.
Nowadays, hitting the gym has become popular to get an attractive body or to impress surrounding people. But sometimes, it has been observed that people do weightlifting or excessive exercise without taking any instructions from their respective instructors. In such cases, it leads to severe damage to their organs, including the thigh, and some can also become fatal. So it is advised to please do exercise after taking proper instruction from trained instructors and not over-exercise to impress someone quickly.
Change your lifestyle by having daily exercise, eating a balanced diet, attempting to maintain a regular and consistent eating routine, and, last but not least, contacting your physician if you think the pain would persist or affect you for an extended period.
